Yeah....I wouldn't waste a lot of time trying to find any notification that they know there's a problem that is affecting you. I've been a MobileMe/.Mac/iTools customer since the beginning, and I think maybe I once saw a notification that told me that I wouldn't be able to use some service when I was having problems. The other 937 times I had to figure it out myself :) Don't be shy if it isn't working, go to the
MobileMe support page and click on one of the question areas. If you drill down you eventually get to a chat option.
