( I sent this e-mail to OmniGraffle Support = ticket number [OG #851806] )

I am continually seeing the Mac "beach ball" in the middle of using OmniGraffle. It happens every few minutes it seems, and it lasts for some 30 seconds it seems ("eternity," and "too much interruption," and "not really sustainable").

* Does not occur at startup.
* I believe it often but not always occurs when I Save.
* It definitely also happens lots of times when I am not explicitly Saving.
* I'm not taxing my machine with lots of other running applications, etc.

This happens with all diagrams, large, small (maybe not tiny simplistic ones). Current one is 500Kb, one Canvas, one Layer.

I've looked around on web, see mostly old posts, tried Forum a little not a ton.

Mostly I see "In General Preferences, turn off Backup."

My General Preferences does not show me that option.

How can I turn off Backup, and, how else can I avoid the slow "beach ball" hanging of OG?

OmniGraffle 5.4.2 (v139.16 r171715) (Latest)
