Text displayed in the status bar will sometimes freeze with a particular message, and from then on fail to update.
For example, on this page:
http://www.aquapac.net/usstore/erol.html, once you mouse over the top menu row (black on yellow: "Products," "Sizing," etc.), the status bar reads "Click" and doesn't change regardless of where you then move the pointer.
