They aren't denying it to OO users, any more than they are denying us OmniGraffle 6, OmniFocus 2, OmniWeb 7, etc. From the little snooping I've done, the sync support in OmniPlan 2 doesn't look like it was just lifted from OmniFocus and bolted on. However, OmniPlan 2 is allegedly built on some of the same outlining code as is being used in OmniOutliner 4, so perhaps that means we'll see sync support when OO4 comes out (presumably requiring a matching version of OO for iPad).
