Apologies if this has already been mentioned somewhere else - I've searched but couldn't find any problem exactly like this.

Here's the scenario: I had a two level group (group title and one action) created by selecting two separate actions and then creating a group. I completed the action at the bottom of the group tree, checking its box so that it disappeared. This then left the top level of the group without any actions. So to make the group title back into an action, I try and outdent the top level in the group. When I do this, the group disappears, along with ALL my projects bar the one I was in.

I've tried changing the views and sorting, just in case I'm missing them, but under the Projects tab, in my Library, and with 'All Projects' clicked, there's only one project left out of 10+ original projects.

I tried restoring from a backup from yesterday, the day before that, and the day before that, but none of the old projects reappear.

Any ideas would be welcomed, since I've just lost a LOT of work. Is this a bug? Am I missing something?
