Yikes. So it's just a global "all or nothing", with no visible controls? Sorry, but that's just crazy. I seeked out an answer because I was tired of millions of things popping up on my screen and couldn't figure out how to disable them. That seems like a UI failure to me. Users should never have to find your forums and search through them to turn off these irritating alerts.
