That doesn't sound like the right use of OmniFocus to me.

You can do this now with Chronos' Soho Notes and their NoteLife iPhone application.

Soon, you will be able to do it with DEVONthink Pro on the Mac and their iPhone equivalent (which is in private testing, and not yet available on the iTunes store).

There are lots more apps like this -- Writeroom, Simplenote, are two -- that aren't as scalable as SOHO Notes ore DEVONthink but would get the job done for note viewing.

OR... if you use MobileMe you can use something as simple as TextEdit to create notes and then store them on your iDisk and view them that way from the iPhone.
