Thread: Linkback Faults
View Single Post
The issues with linkback are so bad that it almost makes it useless.

The padding is a mystery to start with but one you could live with.

However the baffling corruption of the artwork is beyond reasonable. Working with the same grids, the artwork is offset in linkback form. Single pixel grids, require offsetiing art by 0.5 in both axis. To add insult to injury, next time you open it up, some of the art will have moved back to whole pixels, but not all.

The adjusted position in the linkback document.

Linkback_Fault_04
The fixed position in the working doc.

Linkback_Fault_05
Re-opened the linkback document. Huh!
Changes saved originally and reflected in the doc, vanish.

So close to being a great feature and then misses badly.

The integrity of the pixel perfect (requirement) work I am doing is always in question (by myself) and has a constant cost in time.

My apologies if my tone is strident in some way but this is a long standing issue and for some of us, serious enough to warrant questioning the continued use of the tool.
