At first, I thought this way. But after more thought, I realized that a parent/child group is nothing more than a project itself (a sub-project). In OF, when all the actions in a project are checked, the project itself is not marked as complete. There is a very good reason why it needs to be manually marked complete: it is often appropriate only to plan the NEXT action, not the complete sequence of actions in the entire project. If the project were automatically marked completed when you check the final next action, it would fall off your radar. You'd lose track of it among the myriad completed projects that populate your database, which you don't really need to review anymore. Instead, OF marks the project "stalled", so it can be revisited in the next review session.
