I have a folder of of files with symbols (SVGs in this case but I have had the same task with JPGs, etc.).

Does anybody have an applescript that will create a new Stencil and then read through a folder and take each file and place it in the Stencil?

This has come up several times for me and it seems like something that can be automated :)
