Unfortunately, Apple hasn't given third party application developers the ability to sync data through a wired connection; the iPhone and iPod Touch sync over a wireless network.

If you switch your Macs and iPod to the "Bonjour" sync method, the three devices will still be able to sync on your Airport network.
