That would certainly help explain why restoring apps is so slow, but I don't think it explains rogbar's problem, necessarily. I just took my test file and added 370 pages of PDFs (1 page per file) as attachments, ballooning the file up to 158 MB. I was still able to upload that file, then make some changes on the Mac (including adding some more attachments) and upload the file again on top of it (without deleting it first) in under 2 minutes, with no spinning beach balls.

OmniOutliner on the iPad just whimpered in pain for a few minutes when I asked it to open that document :-)
