I exported an updated version of the file to OPML.

Opened it in OO4.

Saved to OO3 format.

Applied a theme

It has 16,580 items.

328 are checked.

Expanded all levels.

When it finished expanding, OO4 was using almost 800 mb of Memory.

If the structure of the file is a potential issue, maybe I could replace the existing content in an OPML export using regular expression.
