Maybe OmniFocus 2 will show tasks in a scrolling monthly view or scrolling weekly view? I love being able to see tasks in a forecast view either on a weekly basis or on a monthly basis (the next 30 days).

Yes, for OmniFocus 2 we're building a Forecast view which shows your upcoming tasks grouped by day along with your calendar appointments, similar to what we've done
on the iPad and
iPhone.
