When holding the iPad in portrait mode you have to press on "Omnifocus" in order to see the sidebar. I think that it should also be possible to just slide the finger to the right in order to see the sidebar. This would be much more comfortable and faster to quickly view the sidebar.

The exact same is possible in Apple Mail when holding the iPad in portrait mode you just have to slide the finger to the right in order to see the sidebar.

I know that this gesture is also used in order to delete items in OF but there are several workarounds. E.g.: If you slide over a folder or project it won't trigger any delete. This would be perfect to trigger the sidebar.

It should also be possible to discern between sidebar and delete function in how fast you actually swipe over the screen. This is nicely solved by the app "Deliveries" for the iPad.

Triggering the sidebar with a swipe to the right can also be confined to a short swipe on either the left or right side of the screen.
