For most purposes, OF is probably not your best bet for a GTD style reference archive.

Using your trip as an example:

1. Photos are going to go in iPhoto, Aperature or Lightroom (or whatever you use)

2. Video is going to into iMovie, etc.

3. You are going to save bookmarks in your web browser

4. You are going to send/receive e-mail

5. You are going to send/receive snail-mail

6. You are going to generate bills/receipts - some electronic, some paper

7. Your OF project and task lists

8. Your vacation journal

I would handle #3-#6 with DEVON Agent and DEVON Think Pro Office, but there are other apps that would do much the same thing.

#8 calls for a blog, diary or whatever you like for that sort of thing.
