I am not saying Omniweb should know, I am merely saying that it should wait for the next page to load and then offer the drop-down to save a password.

Normal behaviour: I type in my login and password, then the dialog drops down offering to save my password. I don't know if I have successfully logged in or not.

Suggested behaviour: I type in my login and password. The next page loads stating that no such user or password exists. The sheet drops down and I say, don't save that password.

OR

I type in my login and password. The next page successfully loads showing me logged in. Then Omniweb drops down the save password dialog.

Basically this prevents the cluttering of the keychain with incorrect logins.
