There’s been quite a few
OmniOutliner updates, recently. So I don’t know for sure which one did it, but the
MultiMarkdown export plug-in from Fletcher Penney doesn’t work anymore — it doesn’t even appear in the list of exporters. I tried different positions inside of the “Application Support/The Omni Group/OmniOutliner” folder, with no success. This is unfortunate, as I love the
OmniOutliner →
MMD workflow. So there arise a few questions:
- Is there a simple way to make it work again?
- If not, can we count on OmniOutliner 4 being able to export in MultiMarkdown — or at least Markdown — format ? This would be great.
If
OmniOutliner 4 wouldn’t support
Markdown in some way, I wouldn’t say it would be a reason for me to drop
OmniOutliner completely, but it would definitely be a regrettable, most unfortunate point against
OO, especially now that
Markdown is gaining momentum — see the increasing number of editors supporting it, both on
MacOS and
iOS.
