I wrote the Populate Template Placeholders script to handle most everything you're interested in doing. You can check it out on my software page. It's really good at handling the date issues. The drawbacks for your use are:

• it's not "baked in" to OF
• the project doesn't auto-repeat (I generally have a repeating single action that tells me to activate a fresh copy of a project template as needed.)
• you have to edit the template if you want to keep changes for future occurrences of the project

So, it's not a perfect match, but you might find it helpful. The script comes with a short example and a description of how to use it.
