For what its worth, my approach to this is to use Sente 6 to create the notes associated with each source and various quotations extracted from it, and export those to Devonthink (automatically creating a DT2 folder for each source, and an RTF file for each note) + hyperlinks back to the Sente references).

I then simply embed the {Author Year@page} links in my OO3 outline.
