I agree with that sentiment wholeheartedly. I've hacked together scripts in the past to do quick-and-dirty things, but I usually prefer to do that for things that are special cases and infrequent by nature.

Something that would be used regularly as a core feature should most definitely be integrated into the OF app itself in some way, and IMHO an AppleScript under the hood is not a bad way of doing this if that's what it takes...
