I personally think that OF is perfect for task management of those one-off projects/tasks that don't happen on a daily basis. There are a lot of people who try to think that OF should be the everything GTD programbut it really isn't.

I think I would rather keep coding tasks in either OmniOutliner or a mind map.

My calendar program is perfect for the appointments and events. You can kind of use OF for dates but it would really be shoehorning it in.

I use DevonThink for my file references. I wouldn't think of storing e-mails, PDFs, etc. inside OF. DevonThink (or whatever personal file manager of your choice is), Circus Ponies Notebook, and Yojimbo are better suited for storing that kind of stuff. But I do use URL links to connect my OF tasks to my DevonThink database and Apple Mail.

I'd love to have OF do my higher horizons of focus. But I'm using Mindjet Mindmanager as my program of choice to work on my higher horizons.

Just think of OF as one tool in your GTD toolbox.
