Thank you very much for the detailed reply.

I hadn't noticed the Entire Document export option. That's huge! I tried a quick test using an object instead of text and exporting the entire document and it worked perfectly!

I'll also try your layout trick, I've had some minor printing bugs with my current template, I suspect your trick may fix those aswell.
