As a friend of mine used to say about a different program, "It's intuitive once you understand how it works." :-)
The basic rule of thumb is that sorting, grouping, etc. in Planning mode works at the level of projects and single-action lists. The idea is that, if you group by due date in planning mode, you want to know which
projects have an upcoming due date--either the project due date itself, or an action within the project. Context mode, on the other hand, works at the level of actions.
Since I've been using OF for nine months, it's intuitive to me! :-)
