As I'm in the road-test phase of Omni Graffle usage, I wasn't fully aware of the shared layer feature. It makes sense for headers but I'm reusing all sorts of other elements too that I created as stencils. These don't necessarily appear in the same place on every canvas so a shared layer for them wouldn't work.

I was hoping for something akin to Symbols in Illustrator (edit the symbol and all instances of that symbol will be updated). A very helpful reply from one of the Graffle Ninjas has said that this is one of the most requested features for OmniGraffle and that it may appear in a future version. No promises though.

For now though, it looks like I'll struggle with this project but subsequent wireframing will be done in Adobe Illustrator.
