Hi Omnigroup,

If you open/save/close an OPML file repeatedly in OmniOutliner, you will see it duplicates the URL with each iteration.

Could you please fix this ASAP?

Thank you.
Boby.

This is a known bug with the OPML support. You can avoid this for now by turning off the preference "Automatically create attachments from typed URLs" in the General tab of the OO prefs. Sorry for the trouble!

Hi Derek,

Thanks for the quick reply. I indeed had noticed this option, but then of course clicking on URL doesn't do any action anymore. It then becomes very cumbersome and time consuming to copy-paste links instead of just clicking on them.

I guess it shouldn't be difficult to program a basic hyperlink recognition in the OPML mode. Otherwise, do you know any third-party software which would recognize hyperlinks anywhere on Mac Os?

Best,
Boby.

The OS actually does recognize it but doesn't turn it into a click-able link for you. Not sure how much quicker it is, but if you click into the row with the URL and then right-click on the URL, it'll highlight it and offer you the option to open the URL.

The other option would be to save it in the OmniOutliner format so you can save them as links.

Many thanks! :) This is an acceptable workaround indeed.

The OmniOutliner format was not an option because I need OPML editing.
Best,
Boby.
