Move archive to a new main computer Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
Hello,

I'm using an iMac and a MBP. Untill now my iMac was my main computer, but that has changed and now I want to move the archive of omnifocus to my MBP.

I will still be using bot computers, and they keep synced through the omnisync servers.

How can I move only the archives to my MBP in a safe way?

regards, Rick

OmniFocus stores its archive here: ~/Library/Application Support/OmniFocus/Archive.ofocus-archive
So you'll need to move that file to the exact same place on your MacBook Pro.

1) If you don't see the Library folder in your home folder, choose "Go to Folder..." from the Go menu in Finder and paste in
Quote:
~/Library/Application Support/OmniFocus
and click Go.

2) Copy the 'Archive.ofocus-archive' file from this folder to your MacBook Pro by whatever means is convenient (file share, email, telepathy...)

3) Repeat step 1 on your MacBook Pro.

4) Put the file from step 2 into the folder you just found in step 3.
