Newbie: How Do I Sort Items in Column Type, Pop-up List? Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
I keep adding new items in the Pop-up List, in Column type. But how do I sort newly added items? Right now, I'm sorting them manually.

Hi kmnjunk2007-

Unfortunately it's not possible to sort that list automatically. However, you can "search" through the list when you're setting the value for a row. After you open the popup list in the outline, you can start typing the value of the item you're looking for and it will focus on the first item it finds that matches the string you're typing.

So say you have a list of:

Red
Blue
Brown

if you type 'R' it will select Red
if you type 'B' it will select Blue as that's the first one it found that starts with a B
if you type 'Br' it will select Brown.

Let me know if you have any questions about this.

Thanks.
