outliner to graffle Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
Is there a way to:
set up an outline so that, when opening the outline in omnigraffle, certain data gets converted into labels on the connecting lines between shapes?

set up an outline so that, when opening the outline in omnigraffle, relationships other than a simple hierarchy are represented?

Basically, I want to be able to define a set of relationships using omnioutliner and have these relationships get properly interpreted in omnigraffle.

Unfortunately no on both counts:

- OmniOutliner has no concept of line labels, so there's no way to map that information into OmniGraffle (similarly, the Outline Editor in OmniGraffle does not display line labels)

- OmniOutliner can only create hierarchical data at the moment, the idea of clones or aliases (where one child can have more than one parent) hasn't been implemented in OmniOutliner as of yet

OmniGraffle can however create diagrams where there is multiple parentage, but that won't show in the Outline Editor either.
