hours per day? days per week? Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes

Anyone know what the "hours in a work day" and "days in a workweek" settings are used for? Are they currently being used? If not, what are they going to do?
These are used in the duration column when you type in something like "1d" or "1w". Those then convert to hours based on your settings.
ah, ok - thanks xmas for your prompt reply. Makes sense.
It's also worth mentioning that we currently have a bug logged to remove these since they are causing confusion and see little to no use. Really, tasks in OmniFocus should be pretty darn short, unlike (say) OmniPlan. Trying to perform the same physical action for more than 8 hours would be dull and tiring! =)

Personally, I would *really like* to be able to use days for durations. That would allow me to estimate my project durations (as opposed to my task durations, which are usually 1-5 hours). See "172h" for a one week estimate isn't terribly useful for me.

Please. Thank you.

And nice work.
I second that request ! especially since at this point , project duration has to be entered manually .
