"Estimated Time" - best choice of words? Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
I'm somewhat new to GTD, so I'm learning on the fly with OF.

In the inspector, there's a field called "estimated time." For a while, I was confused by this, thinking it meant a time of day. But I gather from posts I've read that this probably refers to the estimated *amount* of time it may take to complete a task. Is that correct?

If so, shouldn't this field be called "Estimated Duration," instead? IMO, "Estimated Time" is semantically confusing, especially for users who are exploring the application for the first time.

Agreed. I suspect "Estimated Time" was used because it fits on the inspector, but I would prefer "Est. Duration".
