SP17 Imageshack.us POSIX invalid argument while trying to upload image Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
Hi,

http://www.imageshack.us

It is a very popular site for sharing game screenshots, normal screenshots and photos since you can upload without account etc.

I tried to upload "scr.png" file which is basically a screen shot, Graphic Converter used with "web ready" (no resource) options even with filename checking for web, it says:

Cannot Load Address

Stopped loading <http://www.imageshack.us/>: POSIX error: Invalid argument

No need to say, I tried multiple times and verified it doesn't happen in Safari too.

Hi,

My POSIX error is different one and it is a really, really popular site for general userbase.

Especially MAC users since our Instant Messengers always have problem with sending files one way or other. So, you upload the jpeg etc instead of hassling with configuration problems.

I'm getting the same POSIX error as Ilgaz when uploading through the browser to a PHP/MYSQL driven site (using ATutor from www.atutor.ca). "POSIX error: Invalid argument".

Switched to Safari and had no problem with the upload.

Hi,

I bet developers are looking to it but here is the "log", I enabled show HTTP requests.

Of course, one can go to http://imageshack.us and see.

Ok, I tracked down this bug today--it only took 3 days of scrounging in the debugger--once I could reproduce it in the first place... Arrrghh!

The next beta should fix this (and the associated crash that could happen as well).

YAY!

Thanks Ken. Yeah this is one annoying bug!
