Connection timing out on Omni Sync Beta [A: We're investigating; apologies.] Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
I signed up for the Omni Sync beta as soon as I started using Omnifocus for iPad and everything was running smoothly. I updated to iOS5 a few days ago and have had a few hiccups one of which is the Omni Sync. Whenever I try to sync, it comes up with an error "Unable to synchronize database with server. The request timed out".

Is this a known issues?

I have the same problem or I get an SSL error message. I have had the server sync but it's like the server is under very heavy load as it take 20 minutes plus.

I'm attempting to sync my iPhone version of OmniFocus with the Omni Sync Server, but every time I try, I get this error message...

Unable to synchronize database with server.

An SSL error has occurred and a secure connection to the server cannot be made.

Would you like to connect to the server anyway?


I then hit the "Retry" button and the sync still fails. I've tried this both with the iPhone on a WiFi network and on the cellular network, and I get the same error message both ways.
 
Same here, iOS5 on iPad and iPhone
 
I'm having trouble synching Omnifocus for Mac right now as well.

Same problem for me - doesn't seem like my Mac or iPhone will sync. :(
 
I emailed support in case they don't see this message.

We've been having some server issues today- we're looking into it now. Sorry for the inconvenience!
 
I'm receiving the same error messages, and I am still using iOS 4.

OmniSync has been bulletproof up until now. I hope we receive a prompt response from support.
