Any way to add a custom key shortcut? Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
Is there a way to add (or hack) a custom keyboard shortcut for a menu item that doesn't normally have one?

Specifically, "save linked images" and "save linked documents".

OW is pretty good about keyboard shortcuts for main menu items ... almost everything has one, which is fantastic.

You don't have to "hack" anything - it's built into OS X:

System Preferences>Keyboard&Mouse>Keyboard Shortcuts

Add your own.

Unfortunately, there is no way to know if it is simply three full stops or an ellipsis and IIRC both can be used in a menu, so you may need to experiment!

Thanks. In this case it's three periods. And it worked!
