Hey, I'm using the trial version of OmniGraffle and I have this problem that whenever I draw a line to connect objects, the objects all shift around and move close together, it's really annoying.

You probably have Automatic Layout turned on.
Under Canvas Inspector --> Diagram layout, turn off "Automatic Layout". That should do the trick.  -- Morgan
