CRM for mac Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
Hi;

I have been using Omnifocus and Omniplan since first retail-version of both.

I´m more than happy with the task-management capabilities of OF and the project-management capabilities of OP. I have been looking for at CRM/contact manager for Mac for years now. There are plenty! Most of them try to do-it-all, with contact-management as a core function alongside with sales-support, project-management and task-management.

Recently I´ve been sticking my nose into Daylite 4. I really hate it - mostly for two reasons:

1) It´s so full of bugs! (This is an understatement!)
2) It lacks the clean GTD-workflow that is so beautifully done in OF.

In my opinion, Omnigroup would be the sole company that has the proven skills to pull this off. I mean, OP has the connection between project-management and calendars (and CALDAV), and one would assume that with your level of skills it would´t be too hard getting CARDDAV to play in the same game.

I would beg on my knees to get OG to take on this project. Feel free to chime in on this request if you agree!

What are the alternatives?

Does anyone have any other tips/suggestions?

What about Highrise or other web based solutions?

Use them to hold the data (you can bcc emails etc.) and use OF and OP to handle the tasks and projects?

It is free for as single user provided you aren't looking for thousands or records.

If you are looking for a Mac CRM. Check out our Elements CRM cloud app. It's built for the mac (Desktop, iPad, and iPhone), It's mac only, and we love mac businesses.

When I bought my Mac in 2009 at the Apple store I asked the business rep about a contact mgr and he sold me Bento. I've tried to work with some of the Bento templates and I'm less than impressed. In fact the most popular one I found doesn't even run on my version of BENTO????

I am a machinery and equipment appraiser I'm not really looking for this so much for prospects / sales / customers as I am for research contacts. Several years ago I worked at a place that had ACT! (still PC only) and that is the type of application I'm looking for. The best thing I've seen online is CRM4MAC which had great reviews but discontinued several years ago. Nothing in the app store either. My hunch is that I'm going to have to make my own and I'm disinterested in learning how to program a filemaker database. The brain says surely there is a nice off-the-shelf!!!

I downloaded the free Elements CRM but I really can't tell enough from the trial version. Highrise is WAY too expensive.
