When I press the delete key while editing a row, if I continue deleting it begins removing characters from the previous line.

That is seriously annoying and a problem.

How do I get the delete key action to stop at the beginning of the line that it is on?

Seriously, all Omni products work this way, and I can't really think of a similar product off the top of my head that doesn't. If you hit delete at the beginning of the line, you go to the previous line. If you want to get rid of the whole line without any collateral damage, a quick double-click on the line and one (1) press of the delete key will do the trick. Or cmd-A followed by delete. Both will be faster and more reliable than mashing the delete key.
