Is there any way announcements can be displayed on the "new posts" page? I didn't notice that SP12 was out until another user posted about it. I never look at the list pages unless I'm posting a new thread.
("Check for update" didn't work.)

This might be reason enough to just make it a sticky post instead of an actual announcement next time. Sorry about that...
(Also, I don't think the check for updates was working for this release right away which could have helped.)
