Is wireless iPhone/Mac syncing secure? Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
When the iPhone and Mac are syncing my OmniFocus database over a wireless network, are they doing so over an encrypted connection? Or, is plaintext (HTTP, not HTTPS) WebDAV used?

It would be nice to sync while using a public, open wireless network, without worrying about someone snagging my really top-secret to-do items. :)

Yes, OmniFocus syncs over HTTPS (at least it does for MobileMe).

Thanks! How about for local network (Bonjour) syncing?

Yep, Bonjour sync uses secured WebDAV as well.

Super, thanks, Brian.
