I've been very lazy and I'm still running v1.0.3. Is it possible to upgrade directly to the latest version, or are there other things I might need to do first?

If you'd like to avoid that wait, I'd suggest backing up your database first (by selecting "Back Up Database" from the File menu), which is never a bad idea anyway. :) In OmniFocus 1.0.3, all database backups were rewritten without any sync history, so this will give you a nice small database which you should then restore using "Revert to Database Backup" (also in the File menu) so your main database is also small. Once you've done this, you should be able to update to the latest release (1.7.1) and it should be able to upgrade it much more quickly. (It still might take some time if you have a lot of data, though, so please be patient!) If you do run into any unexpected issues, please don't hesitate to contact our tech support ninjas to help walk you through this: you can reach them by email at omnifocus@omnigroup.com, or by telephone at 1-800-315-OMNI on weekdays between 10am and 6pm Pacific Time. Hope this helps!
