Using due dates is this possible? Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
Garbage is collected on friday. I put it out on thursday. I enter 'take out garbage' for the next thursday, and set it to repeat every week. That works, however, once I check off that I took out the garbage, a new 'take out garbage' is created.

Even though I don't want to take out the garbage until the next thursday, that task is shown as available for the entire week. I understand why this happens, but it doesn't really work for this type task.

I thought of giving it a 'start date' of thursday, but then it doesn't pop up as due.

Is there anyway do accomplish what I'm trying to do? Would setting a start date and due date as both that thursday cause the task to only be shown available on thursday?

Any help is much appreciated.

You've got all the pieces! Set a start date for Thursday morning. Set a due date for Thursday night. Repeat every 1 week.

Cool. Thanks. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't barking up the wrong tree :)

By the way, you can test out what will happen in these scenarios by completing actions by typing a date/time into the completed field in the inspector. Doing so makes the program behave as if you had checked the completion box at the date/time specified.
