iCal syncing - one way? Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
When I create a task in iCal, in an OF: calendar, and click Sync with iCal in OF, the iCal task is deleted.

Has anyone managed to get tasks to transfer from iCal to OF?

Sorry if I'm being thick.

Nick

i am seeing the same behavior you describe. i create a trivial test task in one of the OF-created calendars, then from OF, i do a sync. sync appears to complete successfully, then when i check in ical, the item is gone.

however, i am 90% sure that i did a very similar test a few weeks ago and that i observed that the task was NOT deleted and DID show up in OF, so i am not sure if this is a bug that has surfaced recently, or possibly a more complex bug that depends on something in the state of ical calendars and OF contexts.

The new item should be in your OmniFocus inbox. (Since it's still in your inbox, it isn't published back to iCal.)

Aha! I see. That's actually quite useful.
