Storing attachments vs. database size and efficiency Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
I've begun a practice scanning meeting notes as PDF's and embedding them into tasks so they are readily available on my iPad. There are other solutions to store documents, but this is convenient.

My question is, if I continue this practice long term, will OF begin to slow down since the attachments will be part of the database and its size will grow exponentially? Should this be a concern?

It can become a problem if left unchecked, but if you use this approach alongside the suggestions in this thread, it tends to work out okay.

(The original thread predates the iPad, but the advice is helpful on both devices.)
