Request Timeout (3 mins) Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
I'm a developer. I have a public website and an administrative website. Some of the functionality of my administrative site requires a bit of patience. Like longer than the 3 minutes that OmniWeb seems to allow for a request to complete. Is there a way to increase this limit? If not, I am forced to use Firefox which is the only browser I've found that allows the requests to run to completion.
I found a post asking this same question that was posted in 2006 and the answer was that Omni was investigating the best way to support it. It's now 3 years later. Has Omni figured it out yet?
I'd love to hear from you.
Thanks.

There is a hidden default that you can use. Try running this in a terminal window while OmniWeb is not running:

Code:
defaults write com.omnigroup.OmniWeb OWLoadTimeout -int 180
The number at the end is the length of time in seconds you'd like the timeout to be.
