Function Keys F6 - F12 not working. Help?

I'm trying to assign perspectives to function keys.

I have already enabled the "Use all F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys" in the keyboard preferences.

I CAN assign perspectives for keys F1 - F6, but for some reason it won't let me do this with F6 - F12. I can't for the life of me figure out why.

Ideas?
