Unfortunately, if Omniweb has control of the system, as I have found to be the case, you can't do this. I see this problem crop up repeatedly since the last OS update (10.4.9) where OW pages with lots of images don't scroll and drag-and-drop of images to the Finder causes the whole system to stall for anywhere from 30 seconds to several minutes. You can move the mouse, during that time, but any interactions with the GUI are hugely delayed.
