Fitting a diagram to 1 page with Applescript

In the GUI, the "fit" button on the canvas size inspector allows us to shrink a diagram to fit on a single page.

Has anyone achieved this with Applescript ?

I've tried

set horizontal pages of oCanvas to 1
set vertical pages of oCanvas to 1

page adjust oCanvas

but this expands the number of pages, rather than shrinking the diagram...
