repeating actions: due and start dates Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
ok guys... I'm hoping everyone can help me out here.

I recently created a miscellaneous single action called "Get gas", and I set the action to repeat every two weeks from the time of completion with a start date of NONE.

I assumed that since the start date was NONE, but I had a due date, I wouldn't see the task at all until the due date hit; however, I'm able to see it under my projects and it also appears on the nearby map / list.

I guess being able to see it in projects is ok, but I would prefer it not show on the nearby map / list until I've set a start date or the due date is within the "due soon" limit or "overdue".

Any suggestions?

Why not just set a start date that is 3 days (or whatever you use as the "due soon" duration) before the due date? Start dates are for exactly this purpose, they keep items from showing as available until the start date has arrived.
