Problem autoupdating Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
Not sure if this is just me, but it seems to happen with nearly every autoupdate release. It downloads the dmg, mounts it, and then pops up an error stating "0 applications found in disk image". At this point it leaves a process named "diskimages-helpe" running, which I have to kill manually.

I have "delete after installation" selected, and don't archive the old version.

Anyone run into this as well?

Edit: after mentioning it to the tech support, it looks like it has something to do with Omnifocus interfering with the loading of the images.

I've got a new take on the auto-updating problem.

For many re-iterations now, I've had it switched off because of needing administrator permissions and an earlier version in which entering them simply wouldn't work.

I've now reached 92129. When I started up just know, it suddenly asked me if I wanted to update, so I thought "give it a try" to see if things had changed. DMG downloaded to desktop and proceeded to mount apparently, though without a virtual disk appearing on the desktop and it asked me if I wanted to install the update etc. I clicked on install, and the alert promptly switched to "Unmounting disk image ..." with the spinning cog. That's been going on for over 10 minutes, with apparently nothing happening, and certainly no update.
