If you give me an onscreen zoom facility so that I can comfortably read what I doing on the screen, and then print in 10 point I'll buy it when its ready.

This might be useful for you: hit "Command Option 8" on your keyboard, then hit "Command Option =" to zoom in (repeat to keep zooming), and "Command Option -" to zoom out. When you want to go back to normal, full-screen mode, hit "Command Option 8" one more time.
This behavior is built into OS X (you can find it under System Preferences > Universal Access > Seeing). It's fast and works in all applications. cheers, Kaan
